New York City Health Department

The New York City Health Department offers various health services to people, regardless of their immigration status. This includes:

  • Sexual Health Clinics – which test for sexually transmitted diseases, UTIs, genital infections, and pap smears 
  • Immunization Clinics – which offer required vaccinations for school and college, alongside routine vaccinations such as flu vaccines 
  • Tuberculosis Chest Centers – which offer free evaluation and treatment for anyone at risk of TB

This lifeline offers mental health support in over 200 different languages to New Yorkers struggling with mental health and substance abuse. This is available to everyone, not just those based in New York City.

This clinic, run by SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, School of Health Professions, College of Nursing, and School of Public Health, provides health maintenance screening for patients at no cost in Brooklyn
